Pilgrim Passport… Did you know? 🚶 The Pilgrim Passport, (Credencial del Peregrinos) is the official document carried by those walking the Camino de Santiago. It identifies the traveller as a pilgrim and records their journey along the route.✝️ Pilgrims present the passport at albergues, guesthouses, churches, and even cafés or tourist sites to receive a stamp (sello). These stamps create a personal record of the journey, showing the towns and places visited and prove they have travelled that part of the Camino. To receive the Compostela (the official certificate of completion in Santiago), pilgrims must show their stamped passport. Each stamp is unique and reflects the spirit of the place it came from.
