From Blessing to Bar within an hour” 🤣🤣
It could only happen here 🤣
Last night, brought an entirely different kind of magic 🪄 — the beauty and elegance of the Horse Parade and Blessing of the Horses.
Yes Flamenco, Frocks and Flowers were back💃💃
The horses all immaculately groomed with shiny coats, braided manes, and polished tack, paraded through the village, turning it into a living picture of Andalusian tradition at its finest.
Their riders matched the elegance of their mounts. 🎩The men wore sharp, tailored suits with crisp shirts and wide-brimmed cordobés hats, 🕴️embodying timeless style and dignity. The women were equally captivating — some dressed in vibrant flamenco💃 dresses adorned with ruffles and lace, their hair pinned with bright flowers, 💐while others rode side saddle with grace, an image of poise and tradition.
They Paraded 🐴 through the villge to be blessed before retuning to the Feria Ground, WHERE….
… as only happens here in Andalucía… everyone had an invite for a drink (una consumición).🍻🍻 It wasn’t long before the horses were lined up at the bar, riders with a glass in hand, chatting, laughing — and yes, still on horseback! From⛪ blessing to bar🍻 in the space of an hour — that’s village life at its very best.🤣🤣
While the Ribbon Race 🏇 was about speed, daring, and competitive spirit, the Horse Parade was about tradition, pride, and devotion.💃 Together, the two events capture the essence rural village life here in Villanueva de la Concepción — a perfect balance of vibrancy, heritage, and community.
